Bulgogi (Korean BBQ Beef) 

Ingredients:

For the beef:

  • 500 g beef (thinly sliced sirloin or tender beef)

  • 1 small onion (sliced)

  • 1 carrot (thinly sliced)

  • 2 spring onions (chopped)

  • 1 tablespoon oil

For the marinade:

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon sugar or honey

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil (optional)

  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)

  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger

  • 1 tablespoon chili paste (optional)

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the beef:
    In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, chili paste, and pepper. Add beef and mix well. Marinate for 30 minutes.

  2. Cook the beef:
    Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add marinated beef and vegetables. Stir-fry for 5–7 minutes until the beef is cooked.

  3. Serve:
    Sprinkle chopped spring onions on top. Serve hot with rice or lettuce leaves.
