Bulgogi (Korean BBQ Beef)
Ingredients:
For the beef:
500 g beef (thinly sliced sirloin or tender beef)
1 small onion (sliced)
1 carrot (thinly sliced)
2 spring onions (chopped)
1 tablespoon oil
For the marinade:
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sugar or honey
1 tablespoon sesame oil (optional)
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1 tablespoon chili paste (optional)
1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
Marinate the beef:
In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, chili paste, and pepper. Add beef and mix well. Marinate for 30 minutes.Cook the beef:
Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add marinated beef and vegetables. Stir-fry for 5–7 minutes until the beef is cooked.Serve:
Sprinkle chopped spring onions on top. Serve hot with rice or lettuce leaves.
